I can't believe it's been 5 whole years. How it's flown by.

We have built so much since saying the big "I DO" at the Homestead on 10.10.20. And like 10+10 makes 20 we have always completed each other. The last few years have been rough and rugged at times but I do think in some weird way we have helped each other to grow and if I step away from all the chaos for a moment I can see a life that many only dream of.

Even though it might not always show, I am incredibly proud of you and all that you have become. I know you always only want the best for me and our little family and I do hope to see this last for 5, 10, 50 years more. I know we can be great for each other and if we work together, we will be unstoppable. You have always been and will always be beautiful and incredibly sexy. Thank you for all the great memories so far, and for giving me two amazing (highly energetic and stubborn) boys. Yes it is hard but like all great things in life, we grow with and appreciate small wins (even if it is just an afternoon at the Spur).

Over the last few weeks, I have spent quite some time thinking about something meaningful for the five year wood/leather theme. I came up with a blank... until it hit me. As you know, I love stories and seeing the story and meaning behind everything (including gifts).

Every great journey starts with a single step. So far, we have taken 1826 steps (days) into our million step journey. So to ensure you are ready for the next 998 174, I want you to always have something durable on your feet that can conquer any terrain or challenge. There is a reason why all farmers wear authentic leather Vellies...they never say die, protect you from all dangers and simply last forever (just like I hope for us).

When we get back to CPT I want us to go do a fitting to make sure the fit is perfect before having a personal message engraved ( hermantha1826 ∞).
